This is the perfect stick for the transition from junior to intermediate sticks. The shaft of this model is 2 inches (5 cm) longer than the one of the regular JR stick. The Pro16 JR stick comes with the popular CANNON 3D grip.
M.A. Bergeron (C47):
Description: This is a slight mid curve with an mid-open face (more open than the TPS Nash)
Advantages: The Bergeron is neither deep nor small, and is neither open nor closed. These moderates give you the best of both worlds, so to speak. This curve will be good for puck control, raising the puck on shots, backhands, one-timers and deflections.
Drawbacks: The moderates of this curve give you a great range of functions, but it isn't great for any specific action.
Bottom Line: This is a great curve for an all around player. It won't give you any strengths, but it won't leave one area of your game vulnerable.
Ovechkin (C08) Lapa:
Description: This is the legal version of the old CCM Crazy Ovi curve. It is a mid curve with an open face and a round toe.
Advantages: The P08 curve is as unique as OVI himself – it is great for technical puck handling and sniping water bottles.
Drawbacks: The mid curve and open face makes backhand passing and shooting difficult. Snap shots are more difficult to do as well because of the big curve.
Bottom Line: If stickhandling and hard wrist shots are your thing, the P08 is just what you are looking for.
